Knowing where in Maryland you mean would help you out more. I'm going to copy some info from one of my previous posts...

I have found three shops that I'll trust with my vehicles and I'm very picky. None of them are 4Runner specialists per say but all will be good so long as the vehicle is nearly OEM. All should be good either way but OEM is much simpler to know what's what.

Daisy Import Auto is in Woodbine and owned by a guy named Ben. He's highly recommended in the NSX and S2000 communities and has worked on my S2000 and 4Runner. He's a great, experienced, and honest mechanic. Ben's done a fair bit of troubleshooting when I've had issues and I'd trust him to figure out any problem. He regularly has NSX's spread around for engine out type services. He is not a smooth talking service manager at a dealer but that's not what I want in a shop.

If you're further North, I also recommend Bel Air Auto Service in Fallston, MD. Don't let the fact that he shares the facility with the BP scare you. I've recently had my 4Runner in there to have the frame patched/welded, lift, diff drop, and panhard correction installed. They're an honest shop that does great work. I'm thrilled to have my truck back with the new suspension on. Their welds look pretty good to me and they did a great job de-scaling and POR15ing the rest of my truck. Chris has been honest and responsive and I'd recommend them to anyone. They did also initially inspect my 4Runner when I first bought it 5 years ago. They found the rear axle seal leaks and a few other things.

I've had my S2000 at MA-Motorsports in Glen Arm a few times now. They are a performance shop that fields Pro and Pro-Am drift teams. They fabricate a bunch of stuff in house and I've seen a few SUV projects pop up on their Instagram as well. They specialize in Nissans but will work on anything. I have not had my T4R in their shop but I'd trust them with my vehicles. Very clean shop, great mechanics, high attention to detail. They are not cheap but are very precise. Idk if Pre-purchase inspection would be their thing but can't hurt to ask.

I have been to others that I will not recommend or call out by name but these three, I go out of my way to take my vehicles to.
