When no one sitting (no weight) the indicator is always OFF.
Do I understand that procedure correctly?
- Turn ignition ON
- Put the child seat on the passenger seat
- Move the passenger seat fully back
- Put the child on the seat and fasten seatbelt
- From now the airbag indicator should stay OFF
When the kid goes on the seat and the seatbelt is fastened then the indicator from OFF changes to ON.
Does it have sth. to do with a booster seat where the seat is fastened with the child already sitting?
The Toyota procedure is written for so called convertible child seats (younger kids), where the seat is fastened with the cars seatbelt before a kid sits.
How to disable the airbag for the booster child seats?
