4th gen buyers guide ?

so I have had 3rd gens since 2004 so I am very familiar with them and modding them.
however my current 3rd gen is a POS and not reliable, tranny and electric brake system acting up to name a few... and has rust so its got to go.
I have several long trips this summer, the 3rd gen wont make it.

so a neighbor has a 4th gen SR5 sport. 2005. 170k,v-6, 2nd owner gray with cloth interior...smoker so it stinks.... and has owned since 2011. Selling cause he wants something bigger, can tow more weight and less miles. He would not say what he has towed.
he is asking top of blue book at 10k. Wont budge....only other 4th gen up here is same year at 14k , but its lifted with an ARB bumper and about 50k more miles.
3rd gen prices are going nuts and are very hard to find up here in north alaska, anygood. sell in a day.

the stero speaker on driver door is static for about half the test drive and then is fine....newer head unit ( 2018), all else work.

the tire pressure light is on, he says he ignores it as dealer quoted him over 600 2 years ago...i read the system can be bypassed....does that light on effect other things like traction control etc ?

4wd works fine....has to up here

so is there a buyers guide....or what should I be on the look out for...

timing chain life, head gaskets...

thanks

original springs/shocks/suspension....he has done nothing to it.
