I have a 1st gen 87 4runner that I am debating on whether I should sell. It has a new tranny <1,000 miles on it. My only manual transmission and it is a blast to drive. No mechanical issues except no A/C. What do you expect it is an 87. LOL. Extremely dependable. Only put about 500 miles a year. Limited rust. It definitely has potential as a restore gem. I want to restore it but just do not have the time. I have a 5th gen that is my primary vehicle. I live in the Houston area and every year multiple hunters always stop by and want to buy it. Always turn them down because I know I will regret selling it, but I am getting to old to take on such a big restore project. I bought it around 25 years ago and have had epic adventures in it. Sad to say but, I will sell for the right offer.
