Looking at their website Xenon Depot claims to have Toyota OEM equivalent intensity for the DRL function. So if they really work that way they must have designed them purposefully to use the 4Runner PWM waveform, rectified it etc to use as a controlled constant current source for their LEDs. Looks like they spent the effort for a better design, better parts, and it costs more $$. The cheap stuff on Amazon and eBay don’t do this.

I think I read somewhere that it took them a few versions to get the DRL right, but some folks still detect a slight flicker. Maybe someone can chime in on their experiences.
