I currently have FJ Cruiser coils on the front set on second perch. I gained 2" +/- half an inch. The ride is comfortable to me. Definitely more firm than stock but not jarring.
I love my set up and I think it would hold up even with a heavier bumper.
The only reason I would swap front coils is because I'd like to have coils that sit at this height on the lowest perch to avoid any preload, and rely solely on the coil for lift.
FJ coils and 5th gen coils are on Craigslist for cheap pretty often. Especially the 5th gen coils, which are similar in height I believe.
