However, there are valve body designs between the years that do matter. The 99-00 transmissions will be a direct swap. 96-98 have different valve bodies but will fit and function the same but not the transfer case. A 01-02 will not work at all due to the lack of a transmission line pressure cable.
I'm making the assumption that you own a 4WD with the push button Multi-Mode transmission.

Ok yes this is what I was wanting to verify. I understand the valve body design mattering depending on year, however is it safe to say that any 99-00 used transmission would fit my truck? It is indeed a 4WD with the push button Multi-Mode & e-locker.
