I just thought about something.
LEDs are so strongly colored that we are instructed to make different bulb color choices, treating the fixture as if the lens color doesn’t even exist, vs halogens when putting them behind colored lenses.
You can put a white halogen behind any color lens, but must put a red LED behind a red lens for brake lights, else a white LED would look pink.
After giving this some consideration, I feel like colored lenses may be as effective as the blue tinted halogens that were sold as “pure white” on AutoZone shelves across the country [emoji23]
