I haven't found any 2022 parts diagrams out yet and local dealer parts dept didn't even have access yet, to be able to see/compare wiring harnesses.
I doubt you could add it as the factory wiring harnesses are most likely different for the extra cameras and switch. Toyota doesn't include unused wiring/connectors on their wiring harnesses, at least on the five 4runners I've owned.
You should be able to see if you have the front camera wiring harness and connector as it's right above the radar rectangle in the front lower grill.
Sales guy is probably referring to the oem dash cam /harness which is a port
installed option and can be added later .(OEM Camera part#PK6A3-33HT1 with a PK6A4-33HW1 wiring harness)google it!

Test driving in San Antonio - that’s funny. I test drove at North Park Toyota here in San Antonio. The PVM is great and I love the fact that it has the dynamic pathway projection lines that follow your steering wheel.
Unused wiring harnesses - I was hoping this would be like the light sensor extra wiring under the plug in the center of the dash. The wiring is there and a $7 sensor can be added to automatically adjust ambient lighting in the cab when the headlights are on.
The sales guy was definitely talking about adding the PVM after the purchase (not a dash cam). He and I talked about the PVM at length. But, he was trying to make a sale and, well, you know...
It is probably too new for parts guys to even know what I’m talking about, even though this setup has been on Camrys and Tacomas for a couple of years. I guess I’ll poke around under the hood and in the mirrors to see what’s there. Even if there’s unused wiring, I may not even be able to buy the parts. I was hoping someone on the forum had already solved this. I may be a pioneer here.
I may just install the Anytime Backup Camera and call it a day... it doesn’t have side views, birds-eye view, or dynamic path projection, though. I can get the dynamic path projection by installing an aftermarket stereo and iDataLink Maestro (I did this in my 2017 4Runner), but not sure I want to go to that expense for the dynamic backup lines... and I kinda like the stereo in the 2022.
Many thanks again to those who responded. If you happen to come across new info, please post it.
