Brake fluid at Firestone Tires
I recently did a ton of maintenance on my 2015 4Runner, which included shocks, springs, brake pads, trans fluid, oil change, all diff fluids, spark plugs...
I didn't have time to change my brake fluid, so I took it to Firestone Tires in Katy, TX (near the mall) and let them do it for $117 (I trust them more than the stealership). Anyway, as I watched the tech do the service, he did have a tablet that he was working with, but I though it would have to somehow be connected to the service port on the vehicle to "open the abs" system in order to flush the brake fluid correctly. So my question is, does anybody know from experience if it has to be hard wired to the port to open the abs system for a proper brake fluid flush? I didn't notice a wireless device plugged in the port either.
