Yes - I'm curious, I got 145K on my '98
Limited.
I spoke to my local Mech. and he says I should wait.
He just changed someone else's belt at
180k because he had to do the water pump which was leaking. But he said
the belt still look in good condition.
I don't want to spend the money if I really don't have to. I drive mostly local
short trips, so I think I'll wait till I HAVE to do it and and then do the whole shbang:
Water pump, belt, pulley bearings and seals.
So at this point ( other than regular maintenance) I've only had to replace
the starter,driver-side swaybar end link
and do the brakes twice, not bad for over 140,000 - Yeah Toyota!!
