Yep. But not a strap. A chain. I bet it rattled like hell. But it's functional - super easy to adjust in the field, durable, and rotates freely with the spindle. It's unusual though.

Also note: original bump stops!

I think that 4runner is still in use as a test mule at TAPG. So it might actually still be relevant to the 6th gen development. ��
