Obligatory noob post to introduce myself. Name is Rex and I drive on '01 4Runner that I've owned since '03. It had 20k miles on it when I bought it and now it pushing 285k. Built a platform in back for comfy sleeping a decade ago so it has been my preferred basecamp on wheels ever since. I do a lot of peakbagging/mtn biking which requires driving 4wd roads to get to many of the trailheads and this rig has taken me from CA to Canada, AZ to MT and everywhere in between. Rig has been super reliable for 20 years but now maybe having the early stages of transmission issues or torque convertor?? Need to get my post count up so I can get some advice.
