Only a 2003 or 2004 tacoma will work because of the drive by wire. I personally did all my wiring at the auto tranny plug. I didn’t wire in the clutch defeat, but I did wire the cruise! You end up losing Traction control if you can’t live with the check engine light on the 2002 ECM. Personally I was glad to be done with it and installed tru-tracks. I’m in CA so I had to go this route!
