Agreed. A major leap forward in traction options. I retrofit a 2000 VF3AM into my '97 auto SR5. That multimode option is sweet. It's not too different from the locking centre diff on my 80 series (after ditching the viscous coupler in favour of the push-button centre locking diff),

Currently replacing the auto tranny with a 5-speed from a 2000 Taco, so it'll be one of just a handful of manual/multimode rigs out there.
