The NWF Eco-crawler I'm using is a couple of inches shorter than the Marlin Taco-box, but still, it's 6 1/2(ish) inches longer, and the multimodes have the actuator sticking out of the back end of the case toward the tank.
I have a tank back where the spare used to be, but it's an aux tank, there to double the range, not flatten the belly/make room for drivetrain shens.
