I'm ready to pull trigger on this pair of 5.5 inch mid-range speakers, leaving the factory crossover and tweeters in place:

DS18 PRO-X5.4BM Loudspeaker - 5.25", Midrange, Red Aluminum Bullet, 300W Max, 150W RMS, 4 Ohms - Premium Quality Audio Door Speakers for Car or Truck Stereo Sound System (1 Speaker) https://a.co/d/fpb8Gf1

My factory speakers are actually still in good shape, I'm not in a rush to replace them, yet..

That being said, I also installed an 8-in subwoofer under the driver seat:

Recoil SL1708 240 Watt 8" Under-Seat Slim Amplified Car Subwoofer with 99.99% Oxygen Free Copper Installation Wiring Kits https://a.co/d/6jlZ3Rk

The sub really rounds out the bottom end, and my Pioneer Bt4200 has a loudness feature that almost obviates the need for a subwoofer.
