Head gasket blown (2003 V6)
So my engine started overheating I noticed my radiator blew and I replaced that the thermostat and the fan clutch. It did fine for a bit then my battery decided to take a shit, replaced that along with new spark plugs and ignition coils because it also started misfiring. It was running good for a couple weeks then the misfiring came back. For reference my engine has 291,000 miles. Checked the spark plugs and cylinders 2 and 5 had oil on them.(those were the two that were misfiring before) I don稚 have the time or know how to replace the head gaskets so I知 dropping it off at a shop. The truck stopped starting on its own having to be jumped is this an alternator issue or starter? And I知 just gonna have the engine rebuilt, mechanic says he痴 gonna have the block and heads resurfaced. I知 dropping it off tomorrow because I have to leave town for 2 months for work. Should my engine be good for a lot longer after that and is there a possibility of the block being cracked? I知 pretty worried about it
