Alarm Going Nuts

Hi Everyone,

I had an aftermarket keyless entry system installed on my 4Runner when I bought it. Fast forward now and the fob was smashed, I decided it was time to delete the system itself and so I did. Removed all wires and reconnected any that were cut. Locked my truck from the inside and went to sleep. Woke up in the morning and unlocked with the key only to have the alarm go nuts when I opened the door (had to turn the key to the ON position for it to stop). Is there something I missed? I’m pretty sure I got everything out. What else can I try to avoid this?
TIA
