If you have collision on your 4Runner, you should never have to deal with the other guy's insurance. Your insurance company will do all the work for you.
I had a young college student (Weber State University) from Arizona slide on the ice into my 4Runner back in December. Going north on US 89 in Kaysville. My insurance company arranged for the repairs at a facility of
my choice, then went after the other insurance company for reimbursement. My insurance even issued me a statement, that because the other driver was at fault, my driving history would not impacted and my rates would stay the same.
It would be best if you have a police report that shows the other driver was at fault. In my case, the other driver was charged with "failure to stay in lane".
