swapping factory head units in the 3rd gen

I have a '99 factory head unit. Just picked up an '02 headunit (or at least its newer than mine) it has the 6 disc changer, basically the one in this thread: 2000 Stereo into 1999?

i am trying to replace it with my stock radio which looks like this :

I'm not familiar at all with audio..but the connectors dont match up. Can i splice and get the correct connectors somewhere?

Since you have a 15 pin amp with the 99, you will need the 20 pin amp that comes with the 00-02 stereos. Once you have the new amp, it is a simple plug and play then.

Ebay is your friend. I have seen those amps go as cheap as $5.
