Addicted Offroad's new rear bumper for 3rd gens.

Addicted Offroad is proud to release our new rear bumper for 3rd gens. This bumper is a bolt on design. No welding required of any kind.

The frame mounting brackets are .250 wall press bent. The bumper will slide into your frame, and will mount to where your original stock tow hitch originally mounted. We will include mounting hardware with your new bumper.

The bumper will have a tow hitch included, but we will not be able to "rate" the bumper for towing. However, I can tell you that the bumper is likely stronger than the factory hitch is anyway.

The factory tire carrier will fit up to a 265/75/16 size spare tire only. Anything bigger will interfere with the rear suspension links(not our bumper). So, you are limited by Toyota, not us.

Shipping will be flat rate of $99 to the continental US.

You can order by calling me directly or ordering online.

Here are pics:

Pics of the actual production bumper

"The factory tire carrier can no longer be used, but if you are running a larger than stock tire, then it won't work anyway."

Quick question... for some reason I thought you initially said that the factory carrier could be used? Was that a change, or am I losing my mind. LOL

With where the new hitch receiver is, the factory carrier will not work. Not to mention that the tire would hang at least 6" below the bumper anyway. Couple that with the fact that most people wanting to run this bumper will be running larger than a stock tire, then the tire will not fit under it anyway.

A larger than stock tire, will rub the panhard and contact the axle under compression/flex.

Scotty, do you have any pictures with the hatch open to show the gap between the bumper and body? Thanks

NO pics, since we put the stock bumper on it. However, I can assure you that we will have a filler plate with the hatch open.

will a stock tire still fit in the original carrier, i'm looking for a bumper that can allow me to use that space for a secondary fuel tank... so basically a tire carrier rear bumper that leaves the the original spot intact as well, seems like alot of the manufactures make the assumption that will always be dead space.
and would you guys mind chucking a tire on there that's not the size of a small planet so we can see clearances and visibility through the rear.

that said looks nice guys, like the hybrid design with he filler plates and box tube around the hitch area

These will work for that. On the black 4runner with 37s, I used a Ford F150 rear tank in that section since I eliminated the factory tank when I did the 4-link.

Unfortunately, that 4runner has been sold, but when we build the actual bumper/tire carrier version, I will be designing around a 285 size tire.

Our rear bumper is ready now.

We have been able to verify that YES, a stock 265/70/16 tire will fit in the stock location. I have taken pics to show just how much ground clearance you will gain with this bumper over the stock bumper and stock hitch. We measured an 8" clearance gain in the rear. As you can see, we do not recommend running the stock spare on the trail, but it can be transported in the stock location.

We also added the filler plate for the section when the hatch is open. The picture is of a test piece, but you get the idea.
