Got most of the service records. Timing belt 15,000 ago. needs a deep cleaning. RRlocker light flashing. don't think it was ever used. It may need service to get working. Any advice on the locker is appreciated! Oh yeah, I bought it. $1600.00. I will post pics as soon as I get it back home.

Installed Honda Odyssey windshield squirters. So much better in splash back conditions.

Fixed the broken cup holder with a couple of drywall screws. No pics but simple process. Basically replaced the broken plastic stud with the screw cut the head off and grind smooth.

Project "Changeling Build" commenced.

I was able to get it to my friend's garage to begin to tear it down and build my Changeling 2002 up. I pulled the coilovers to send off for rebuild with 650# springs. Pulled skids and am in the process of working out the order of things to do and gathering up all the needed torque specs.

Couple o'piddly things. One of them was to dim the high beam indicator because it really hurts my eyes.
I can still see it, but now it's not a bright blue death laser eating my brain through my eyeballs.

a bit of plastic cut from a folder and glued into place to knock the oomph down quite a bit. It looks the same other than being a deeper, more quiet blue.

changed the rear diff gear oil. still had some color after 9,200 miles but given the vehicle just had its 21st b-day, i thought i should do it a favor. next is an O2 sensor in hopes of abolishing the P0420 CEL code.

O2 sensor, as promised. the new Denso 234-4162 appears to have been the correct choice for a '99 non-california / federal 4WD, despite amazon's part selector insisting it wouldn't fit my application. i used the denso part-finder and went with that. if anyone gets one of these, be aware that its lead is fairly short, compared to the OEM part, and there's some annoying effort spent fishing the connector up over the transmission to get it all hooked up. in the end it does work, and there's less wiring to flop around up there.

Completed the 30K service just before she hit 200K miles:

- oil
- air filter
- trans fluid flush
- transfer case and diff oil
- grease u-joints
- coolant
- spark plugs

Exhausting!

Still need to do the brake fluid, but I am torn between just flushing it or replacing the whole master cylinder with a Dorman for the simple reason that my reservoir is almost black and that annoys me.

Also ordered a new OEM fuel filter, to get her ready for the next 200K .
