Niceee. Saving up my chips for those SCS. Got any photos showing how far they stick out beyond the flares?
I stick out about 1.5 in and SPC helped a ton. Still rubs at full compression, so I ended up chopping the firewall. You should be fine if you grind the pinch weld down, heat the liner back a bit, and don't plan on doing any serious wheeling.

Good to hear that SPC helped you out. Once I've got those on and the cams adjusted forward, I'm planning to get the final alignment. If after all that and the pinch-weld smashing it still rubs, I guess I'll begrudgingly tub the firewall. If I go that route, though, I may tub all the way to clear 35s so I never have to do it again. There's no accounting for tire decisions future me will make.
Here's a look at the current tire stance – in my opinion, it's just right. Really, it's just the angled face of the sidewall sticking out. Think most of the main tread is still under the fender. Without the flares, it would have been way too aggressive for my taste.

Airlocker popped the freeze plug on the cast hole of my third member. Globbed it up with fipg. Gunna hit the auto store this weekend for a better fit ( tighter fitting freeze plug). This current one went in easy...too easy I guess. Oh obviously refilled the diff.

Scored a factory aluminum rim and later years’ headlights from the salvage yard yesterday and installed them today. Just got back from the test drive, and much better visibility at night!

What haven't I done.........
Got the unit in Denver and drove it home to Albuquerque. Been working on it since. Biggest accomplishments: Got the rear window dash switch to work (severed wire at taigate conduit), had the HVAC controller rebuilt, Rebuilt the temperature control servo (by myself at NO COST) installed a new head unit with backup camera, programmed remotes, installed hood support struts, new front tires to match the rears. On the list: replace lower ball joints, front brakes with rotors, get the CRUISE CONTROL WORKING! I ordered a module for the c/c but can't find the piece in the truck! Any help?

I've been sitting on a load of new Whiteline bushings for the rear control arms for the last six months. After driving some trails in Sedona, some rear-end creaking on starts and stops emerged. Swapped all of the bushings last night but the noise is still there. Nonetheless, needed to be done – I suspect these were the original bushings. Next up, going to detach the lower shock mount to grease the bushing a little bit and power wash under the spring at the perch. We'll see.

What year is your 4Runner? On my 2000 Limited its on the right fender between the airbox and ABS pump. Should have a cable going to the throttle body.

Bolted up a set of Limited 5 Star wheels I picked up a couple days ago then gave it a quick detail and a coat of wax. The low-tread 285s look soooo much better than the almost bald and dry-rotted 265s.

It's not there. 2000 is cable operated. 2002 and 2001 are drive by wire... no cable.

2000 2.7l t4r
Bought a 2000 2.7L T4R last Saturday. Been parked most of the week since original radiator need to be replaced and misfired on cyl 4.
Tomorrow installing new Radiator, Hoses, New Spark plugs and new ignition coils. Cant wait to get this on the road! I'll post a pic when after the R&R and clean it up.
Side note: is it worth lifting a 4cyl?
