Do you have a write-up you went off of or did you just go for it?

It's not hard to do. When you consider that the only blinker in the front of the truck is not visible at all from the side it is a nice add-on. That was my reasoning and like you, I dig it too.
Looks really nice,
@ GGFerrier

Installed a new air filter and reset EFI. Also ordered new PCV valve and grommet. Continuing the maintenance updates on my new to me 4Runner.

@ StreetCreeper
&
@ habanero
I kinda just went for it after
@ sogoood
set me up with the measurements off his JDM fenders. I knew I wanted to get side markers that matched my clear corners and bumper lights. Found some from a guy in Taiwan. Took some time to get here but very happy with the outcome. Ran the wires behind the fender and spliced into the bumper signals.
Made my template out of heavy card stock.
Measure placement 8,9,15 times.
Masked it off and fired up the dremel with a net cutting wheel.
Cut once, but slooow.

^ that
I got mine off a junkyard Saab, I think it was. Looked at the pinstripes (the kind from branches) and put the signal where there weren't any/many on the premise of less stuff getting dragged across them. Took the antenna motor into consideration on the right side. Mine aren't placed all nice and JDM like GGFerrier's (really nice), they're placed MO brush!

Thank you. Funny you mentioned the Saab's. I looked at old Volvos, Saabs, Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW and Rover. None had the JDM look. Not like I'm entering it in a car show
@ sogoood
but the JDM's just look the best. IMO

Awhile back I fried a circuit board in my combination meter (aka instrument cluster). I bought a used one soon after and swapped that circuit board. Unbeknownst to me, the odometer data was held in a tiny chip on that board. My truck with 167k miles then showed over 200k. So, I promptly put the bad circuit board back in while I researched how to go about fixing the odometer problem.
Long story short... Today I finally swapped the chip from the original & bad circuit board to the new-used circuit board. I used a hot air/soldering iron rework station to lift and reinstall the tiny smd chip.
Because someone asked for it...
The long story... My dome light had a broken switch, so I tried to solder a jumper wire in that would allow the door function to work at all times. I mistakenly attached the wire to the wrong leads and created a short. Not knowing I had done that, I plugged it in to test it and immediately smelled an electrical burn. When I finally bought a new dome light and installed it I found that my dome light would come on with the switch, but not when the driver and rear passenger doors were open. Oddly enough, it did come on with the front passenger door open. After a lot of research & taking the interior apart, I determined that the burning smell came from a fried ribbon on that circuit board in the combination meter. It's amazing how many of the T4R's electrical circuits run through that one board.

I learned that my $400 dollar project has two broken rear upper control arm mounts. So I tried to make a thread about it but need 12 more posts

Tried to finish installing my ARB air compressor and Distro block, but I am now trying to fix all the leak points. The ARB is solid but the 1/4" plugs do not seem to be sealing up on the Distro block so I have lots of leaks.

How would you know anyway? I always laugh when it happens, it's funny for no reason at all. It's even more amusing when we meet someone who likes my 96 and my husband is with me..
And also now I know some iPhone shortcuts.
