I swapped out my LBJ's(unknown age) with genuine Toyota ones. All was going well until TWO of the four bolts snapped that hold the LBJ to the knuckle. And yes, I did soak them in PB blaster for a week ahead of time. It seems a poor design for the two most inboard to have exposed tops that corrode easily. Anyway, drilled them out and fixed the threads. All back together today...

Found a better option for a 2” body lift steering spacer. No one from Malaysia seemed to thing it would work on my 2002 4Runner. I counted the splines and thought “should work”.

They also came with amber lights (which are required since the new housings are clear). The light plugs required a bit of modification to fit, but I got them to work. You basically have to cut/sand down the ridges on the sides of the plug. In the photo, the new plug is on the right and the old plug is on the left.

This is NC truck that we are preparing to live in Maine. So galvanizing the frame and swapping it to a 5 speed (and some other things. Small lift, etc)

I am, with help from my guys. We do this to Land Rover Defenders all the time luckily. I own East Coast Rover in Maine. We don't need to swap the entire harness, just make some mods to it. Luckily we have a completely rusted out 5 speed 4Runner to get all the little parts from.

I tried to start a build thread on it, but I guess I am too new to the forum.

it was raining today and decided to go up into the mountains to kill some time. I got in a trail and threw it in 4x4 low and hit the locker button (I think the first time I have ever done this) and it had the RR Locker light on the dash, but it was blinking, is this normal or is it supposed to be on all the time like a check engine light?

Blinking means it's trying to engage. Solid means it is engaged. If you haven't used it in a long time you'll probably have to go do figure 8's in a dirt lot while trying to engage the rear locker for it to engage. The rear locker actuator and multimode transfer case actuator do best with exercise every couple weeks.
