Addicted offroad front plate bumper test fit at integrated metalworks in Renton. If anyone needs offroad fabrication or install work in Washington, contact Tuan @integratedmetalworks on Instagram.
This bumper is beefy and stunning in person. I thought the crossmember would need to be welded to the frame... Nope. Bolt on. Frame will need to be cut and capped however.
Next stop is Seattle powdercoat for color match.

This is super exciting, since my AOR bumper is arriving Friday .
I'm curious, does your truck have a body lift, or is that the gap with no BL? Talking to Scotty, he said that a BL can be accommodated (mine has a 1" BL), but it would require welding, whereas normally no welding is needed.

Mine has a 1” body lift. Bolt on crossmember and bumper. The gap is honestly not that bad and my installer said it’s actually preferable to some degree since there will be room for body flex while offroad.

Perfect, that's great to know. I agree, that gap does not look bad at all.
Are you getting it powder coated on all sides? I'm planning to do mine in body color as well, just debating powder coat vs. rattle can.

I plan on powder coating thundercloud metallic full bumper for color match. Crossmember is rattle can etching primer followed by rustoleum.

My 4wd conversion has been super slow lately because it's either way too hot or raining. Wish I had a shop to work in instead of outside in the backyard. Oh well. I'm not the best welder so instead of cutting off and re-welding the "horns" for the transmission cross-member, I ordered a Trail Gear 120198-1 kit. This seems like a quick and easy solution and also gives a skid plate. I hope the Tacoma frame rails are the same width as 4Runner frame rails.

wohoo
its not so much what I did to my 4runner...but what im doing for it. my arb bumper, tundra springs and billie shocks..lc springs and tokico shocks and assorted goodies arrive monday and tuesday. Ordeered a sh*t load of stuff from mecgeorge that will arive in time ( in oregon).. Got a dodge diesel today...now when everything arrives..I can load up and head back to alaska with all my tools and press that were left in Oregon, and all my new parts for the 4runner..Pumped.
shipping is so crazy high to alsaka and so are parts...and I had to come see family and get or sell my tools and stuff as my oldest son is selling his farm ( in oregon,)... truck prices are crazy up there too...thus the dodge diesel here to drive back up. example...the dodge is about 6k to 7k cheaper easy here in the lower 48...will resell and pay my trip no prob....yahoo...let the adventure continue
my 4runner is gonna be so happy with all the goodies
cant wait to get back...hunting and fishing...my younger son in alaska got a caribou yesterday
yahoo

Crazy how destructive something as soft and fluffy as snow can be under the right circumstances, eh?
No problem! I hadn't seen a video on here yet, so thought it might be helpful.
I think this is something every 3rd gen owner that spends any amount of time under the hood should do. Not only for the increased ease, space, and hood height, but for the added safety!

Replaced the contacts and plunger in the starter to fix the 1-click-no-start issue. Couldn't manage to get the starter out so I just did the job in the engine bay. Its rather easy if you have a helper, but without one its a nightmare. Next time I'm calling a buddy to help for sure.

Burtman Spoiler
Working up the courage to install the spoiler from Burtman Industries... I just like the clean lines and no fuss of no spoiler while washing the 4runner. With that said, the paint job is beautiful and matches perfectly.
