Finally got my rear storage and second battery installed (100 ah). The big space on the left is for a fridge, and hope to add an inner drawer/table pull out beneath it down the line. Also left room for another battery in case the one can't keep up. Eventually planning to add a couple drawers on the right, nice drawer faces with pulls, and put a top on it all to keep things in and for a little concealment. But for the time being it seems like it's 100+ degrees outside every other day, so the work progresses slowly...

The big difference is that the Coastal is a kit, while Addicted is pre-made (not counting the adjustments I had to make here and there). I wasn't up for welding up a kit, so that's why I went with Addicted.

I obsessed for a couple of years about silver or body-color cladding, finally settling on the latter. I really like that look much better, it makes the truck look more modern.

Not as much as it should have - I took it in to paint the cladding, as well as the driver door and fender (which had previous damage). That was about $1200, including a brand new OEM fender, which I thought was reasonable (this is an insurance grade body shop).

When I came to pick it up, I noticed they did a terrible job on the driver door, and also managed to scratch the driver side rear door. They apologized profusely and promised to take care of it. They obviously didn't learn, because when I came back a second time, they fixed those problems, but managed to scratch the passenger side door and quarter panel, as well as the hood. So they had to repaint all those areas as well.

And that's how I got about 75% of the truck repainted for about $1200 .

Rear brake change out and rust control.

I did a complete rear brake job on my '96 along with some rust control. New drums, shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware. Came out real nice I thought. I have brand new tires and wheels along with a lift kit and I just could not put them on with the wheel well looking like this. Plus a great time to access all this stuff to work on it. This baby has 296K on it

This rig has seen a ton of miles with little to no love. That is changing as I have a huge list of things I am doing now!
Have a great day all!

Did you go full OEM on everything? Do you have part numbers? I'm looking to replace my rear brakes as well soon and would love a starting point.

Got this nice axle housings but now have to send them back... the bolt pattern is upside down, the fill plug is on the bottom. The housing look pretty sweet, hopefully everything gets worked out. So far Ruff Stuff has been all over getting it right...
