Yes, this beautiful Sunfire Red Pearl runner needs a new frame... there is penetrating rust on the inside of the passenger rear trailing arm mount (the usual problem spot) and there is enough rust here and there elsewhere on the frame to justify a swap imo. It’s not the worst frame I’ve seen but I got the truck for a decent price and I’d like to keep it for a long time. Everything else is in such great shape...

Anybody here ever reseal their tail lights because of condensation? What did you use to seal it, just some black caulk? I have one fogging up but thought of taking the opportunity to try and make a fix for our weak reverse lights
Long story short, thinking of swapping the 01-02 lens to a 96-00 assembly so you can use the larger 7440 reverse bulb AND have the benefit of clear lenses, instead of the shoddy 2825 bulb they went to for 01-02. With something like Diode Dynamics XP80 bulbs, it should very much fix the incredibly weak reverse lights many of us complain about. Just snagged a set of lights today to try it with but hesitant to start breaking them open

Or you can pop a set of V6 tritons from VLEDS in there and burn the retinas out of anyone who is behind you Actually, even with the vleds, the reverse lights are weak, but the stop lights are literally stupid, you can see them from like 14 miles away, lol. They actually hurt to look at them.

Funny enough I was JUST browsing vleds and saw they offer a 7440 with 1500 lumens or something like that. And I thought the 500 lumen XP80s were absurd

Installed stainless steel brake lines on my 00 4Runner. Can feel the difference just with these on. Next weekend, the Sequoia rotors and calipers will be installed.

I've got those same pair of wire strippers as you do Doc3g! I absolutely love them!

Looks good! I hate myself for asking this, but is that a 4XI bumper?

Just did my brakes, bearings, and seals after having the rear axle seals go bad. That is definitely a rough series of repairs...

Upper 20s here, installing new-to-me axle goes quick quick but not so much moving the shoes over when fingers are frozen.
No worries, the woman of the house was okay with my doing an in-kitchen shoe transfer.

The 4xI bumper has different shaped winch access holes and no logo cut into it. That looks like the All Pro Apex bumper.
