after market alarm and fog lights
132,000 miles
sunfire red

yeah in our market here in the pnw that could pull $8k easy, i would put it in the $8-10k range. -not saying it is worth that, but its also not uncommon for one to be advertised for that. i dont think though i would pay more than $8k like pitbullrescuer said, sure they are nice trucks, but after all it is a 13yo SUV, and if you compare it to other SUVs of that era our 4runners are already at the top of the price range(even when looking at land rovers...)

Nice link to ebay brah =p
Take a look at this one.
http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2755506659.html
He says there is proof of the 90k mile service done at the dealer, and tires are a year old.

I think you have helped lots!
I think I should not be paying $9,000 for this. I better wait till the perfect one comes around. Thanks, everyone......

yes we do have a strong market, but i also think the seller in this case is asking too much, i dont think that 4runner is worth any more than $6500-7000 even with the low miles. its not a limited, it doesnt have the locker, no leather, no heated mirrors, and a few other missing items(like no rear cargo cover, and missing parts of the trim for the running boards). a timing belt and water pump in portland at a toyota dealer can be done for $500 and some change. one thing the seller has going for them is the new tires it has, they are a good tire and they are new, but like i told the OP tires and wheels are easily changed, and can be a good bargaining chip, in this case not to the buyers advantage though.
it is not uncommon for me to check craigslist(as i do about twice a week), and find a 98+ 4runner limited to be going for $9k+ . i saw one a few weeks back that was a 02 special edition with 127K on the clock sell for $13k and it was only 2wd

Well, called and let her know, no longer interested :(
That was hard I let my emotions, almost buy that rig. I have told myself to be patient, get what I was looking for, and then almost bought something that was not what I had determined I needed. If the price was right, maybe, but I really do need the multi-mode feature and want a locker.
I feel better!!!! I know that I should wait, till everything in me, tells me that it is the right rig! Geeeez, at my age, you would think I would have learn more patience by now! Nite all.......... thanks again........

you do know that without some modifications and rewiring, the factory Elocker can only be used in 4LO, and i think only under 25mph(? not 100% sure on that last part). if it where me i would not have that as a "requirement", so much as a "bonus" or "nice feature" as i dont think you would really use it all that much, judging from the conversations we have had and how you say you would be using your rig. also know that having a factory Elocker will raise the value of the vehicle for the seller(if they know about it, most do). so it could be cheaper to have a LSD(truetrac) installed for your everyday 99% driving, it will be more useful to you i think than a locker

looking up a LSD (truetrac) :)
Another great tip. You are right. From what I have learned here, the multi-mode will serve me better, than the e-locker
