1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5

Hi Im a newbie to the forums and Im about to close a deal on a 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 (5speed manual transmission) . The only thing holding me back is the miles on the truck 111,540. Should I be skeptical or is this still considered pretty low as far as the 4Runners go. I have read that these trucks can go forever, as long as you service them every 3,000 miles. The 4Runner I am looking at is in excellent shape but dont know much about its history as far as service goes.
Asking Price: $10,998
Thanks and any info will help me out a lot.. Thanks

i have a 98 SR5 and i bought it with 170,000 miles on it. The previous owner was a family friend and he was the only other owner and had all of the records and im happy to say im at about 180,000 now and it hasnt been in the shop once(knock on wood) i havent had the slightest problem, and im a teenager and i sometimes drive like it. My advice to you is to get a carfax report and find out as much about it as possible, i wouldnt let the miles scare you, i expect mine to go to 300,000 with no problem. Find out what KBB value for it is as well and compare and contrast. Ask alot of questions: previous owners, service records, well upkept, what kind of miles(highway, city, off road), daily driver, and thing had to be replaced, if so, what, wrecks, body damage/replacement, rust? Just a few. Heres a website that might help you out I hope this helped. Keep us updated with your decisions
