Beautiful rig! I am glad you got it fixed and are keeping it. I am having the same problems with my front end. The lower control arm bushings are the only thing I haven't replaced. I was wondering if you could post your alignment specs. I had mine aligned after new lbjs, inner and outer tie rods, camburg arms and coil overs. It drives worst! I notice my caster seems too high. Want to compare my numbers to others and tell the shop to shoot for these numbers. Thanks

so one thing i dispise is when i see or hear a car with a other wise ok to good sound system but yet they bothered to do no sound deadening or not attempt to dampen vibrations for say license plates... anyone else here know what im talking about? well while i have never heard it myself(probably because my music was always too loud) i decided to do something about this tonight. i was in the garage tinkering this afternoon and found some old self adhesive sticky foam strips(they came in some speakers i bought a while back). i knew i had these and knew what i was gonna use them for, but just didnt know where they were. anyhow i found them and went out to put them on. good thing i had lost track of them, cause my initial plan was to put them on the back of the license plate itself, well turns out that i have to turn in my plates in a couple months (every 7 years in WA you have to get new plates -its away of keeping plates clean, and ensuring that they stay reflective ect), so i put them on the bezel instead. i didnt get a chance to test it out as it was 8pm when i got this and another project done so i figured it might be a little late to blare some BlackStreet...
the other project i did tonight was replace and redo the wiring and horns(yeah i did just replace my horns earlier this year -horns and water dont mix for those that were wondering), anyhow picked up a new set of F-350 horns and rewired them. ive been on a crusade to rewire all my after market and in some cases factory plug-ins, converting them all to the GM weather sealed style plugs. thus giving me a leg up in the fuse war. i have shorted out several fuses relays by getting water in them... so this is my way of hopefully stopping that. every time i have to either remove something or unhook something i am replacing the hook ups with the new weather seal plugins i bought. (i bought like 30 of them, around $150 for everything, pins, both male and female, seals and housings, again both male and female). everything is looking so much cleaner and more uniform that before, when i had like 12 different styles of plug-ins. it actually looks like someone installed the accessories who knew what they were doing. also going through and adding wire loom to every thing as i go.
also had the truck aligned again today -the steering wheel was canted just slightly to the right, and the tech also brought things more into spec, although my caster is still out, but thats because of the lift, and not having UCAs and UBJs that can be adjusted or have greater range of motion. so yeah. but this alignment was free(toyota has a one year satisfaction on their alignments).

I did the same thing for my license plate. I used some foamy tape like weather stripping. It does it's job. I have since changed my stereo up so I don't have as much "boom."

installed my new CB antenna and mount today... used one of the CBI ditch light brackets... i ordered a set to see if they would work on a truck with a snorkel and nope, but the drivers side does so im keeping that one to use as a CB mount.

You going to put a spring on the antenna? Fiberglass Cb antennas don't have much flex to them.

The one that makes lowers isn't based in Raccoon City, so I'm gonna say no.

i have thought about that, but i dont like how they flex with the spring, i guess i could use a heavy spring and that would hold it more vertical. the other thing i was thinking about doing was getting a quick connect mount so i could take it off when going into parking garages and or when going under low obstructions ie cedar tree.
i have only run a spring on one of my rigs before and honestly i never saw any advantages to it... a quick connect would be a better idea imo

Yeah I know what you mean. They do make different spring rates for them though. I got mine from D&R communications off 212. Mine is stiff enough to where it won't whip back and forth, but it bends when it hits objects without stressing the mount too much.
