rear diff fluid question
What gear oil should I put in a '97 3.4 with the factory locker?
The haynes say's SAE90, but in my research many people on here say 75W-90 for rear, t-case and front...

I was just at the dealership to pick up the crush washer and they looked in the computer and said 80W-90 so I bought that. Sounds like either one will work just fine.

I think the book actually says the rear diff gets 80w90 and the other two get 75w90..
But I did like the other posts, I just used 75w90 in all three. Just makes it easier when buying it. You will be fine with the 75w90..

Truck has the heavy shockproof in everything. Most of my cars i run the lightweight shockproof. you will probably be find with either though. Best gear oil you could ever run. Especially for a manual trans.

Does anyone know if we should use any special additives in addition to the gear oil and does it matter what type of gear oil? (GL4, GL5...)
