I've never popped a bead either. I don't really need bead locks but I do want them. I also really like the concept behind the Method 701's. I talked to Method last week about getting them made in a 3.5" BS and they said maybe within a year if the line does well. At this point I'm pretty set on my next set of rims being 3.5" BS. That should get rid of frame rub at lock. Or I'll remove the spacers and still have the frame rub. It's good to have options. lol
|
I'm not sure the Method 701's actually do anything. Seems like a marketing gimmick to me. I've never popped a bead on any combination of wheels and tires I've run. Given I never drop down below 10 psi.
But it will be interesting to see how the 105's handle the rocks. My standard double standards chunk.

I love the wheel paint combo on your truck, and your trucks one of the main builds that inspired me to get a 4Runner for my first car a year and a half ago. How's the GTI treating you, and do you have any mods planned for it? I've always liked the styling of the Golf, though I don't know anything about the Volkswagon world haha.
|
Love the GTI! It's been great to me in the first 10K-11K miles. The only thing I've done so far is wheels, tires, Magnaflow Exhaust, and tint. I'd like to do one large round of mods for it and then call it "Done". But I'm not bored of it enough in it's stock form to bother. But Limited Slip, Stage 2 tune, intake, and a clutch.
Thanks for the compliments though!

I've looked in to Raceline. I wish someone made a 17x8 in 4" BS.

Up to Payson, and then east on 260 until you get to Rim Road!

Awesome thread man. Just finished power reading it today (working from home). Very inspirational upgrades while using it at the same time. I hope to get my truck to this level some day.

There’s some 4Runner stuff on my website: BigBagCustoms.com
Instagram blows but so does this forum in recent years sadly. And Facebook groups are even worse!

That website is awesome Connor! Glad you seem to be doing well. I also wish the forum could get back to where they were.
Your 4runner is looking better and better. Those shock towers look great.

This thread rocks...
From OP "I get my permit soon!" to 2021 and still running. What a story.
Also AZ 4Runner owner. Maybe I'll see you out there, cheers!
