what's 3m bonding solution?
I found the "super strength molding tape" which is listed for vehicle exteriors.

Do these come just primed to paint? Or can we order with a factory color?

I'm curious what kind of primer it is too. I plan on painting it with a truck bedliner and the company recommends Bulldog Adhesion Promoter on plastics.

You can choose either painted or unpainted. Yes, all factory colors available and PPG paint with lifetime warranty.

Intro and vendor Props
Hello all,
New to this forum, but not new to the game. I've been lurking on this forum for a short while, but this is my first post. As an FYI, I am a member of a number of different forums (Impala SS forum, GM-Trucks.com, GMFullsize.com, CTSVOwners.com, CadillacForums.com, LS1Tech.com, and several others) I was one of the first to build a twin turbo setup for the '96 Impala SS. My current stable (not counting the wife's or my stock daily drivers) includes a 2010 CTS V with upper and lower pulleys, upgraded heat exchanger, ported TB, injectors and a tune and a '03 2500HD Silverado 4X4 with an 8.1L motor and a whipple supercharger. The current project I have on my lift is a 1986 Toyota truck that we have just fit a 2005 Escalade 6.0L motor in. Gonna be a Hunting Rig.
At any rate, just wanted to say hello to everyone as it looks like I will be spending some time here, (I find the collective knowledge of forums like this to be extensive and I learn a lot) and also give props to Burtman Industries.
I recently purchased a couple of 3rd gen 4Runners for my twin daughters who just got their licenses, and we are now starting down the road to modifying them. As such, we have started collecting the parts to get them set up the way they want. Clearly I've been around the block (more times than I would like to admit) so I don't spend money without doing some research on the products I am looking for, and who I send my money to. In doing so, I came across Jason at Burtman Industries. Prior to ordering, I contacted Jason to get a feel for the company and ask some questions regarding the products. He answered my texts almost immediately (even though it was about 10:00 PM Mountain time) and was knowledgeable about the 4Runner and the products I was interested in.
After ordering, I asked for an ETA on the parts and was told they should get to me in about 2 weeks. They showed up on my doorstep when he said they would, and were exactly as described and what I was expecting. I had also asked for an update while waiting and he again replied right away with the requested info.
Clearly, I can only speak to my personal experience with him and the company, but I could not have asked for a smoother transaction. I believe in giving credit where credit is due as all too often I find that folks are quick to criticize but seem to forget when things go well. Based on my experience with Jason, I will not hesitate to do business with him again in the future.
Anyway, I apologize for the length of this first post. I am looking forward to learning more about these 4Runners and hope to be able to contribute as I become more familiar with them.
Joe

Ooof. This has been quite the fiasco to find a reputable body shop in Denver to install the spoiler.
Either shops don’t want to mess with it bc it doesn’t have a template, or bc the material used is not ABS plastic using nut-certs to attach it. Rather my spoiler is made out of a composite material with self-tapping screws. Which - being told that this is “not the best way to secure something like this” by a tuner shop who works on GT3s is not the most satisfying thing to read. Especially after spending $360 on said spoiler, and waiting for it to arrive.
I’ll keep this post updated as the shop pointed me to a local spoiler installer. If that guy refuses, then I suppose I need to be an adult and screw this on myself.

Never received a refund for a returned spoiler
Jason at Burtmans Industries was quick to provide customer service once he got in touch with me.

I will not recommend Burtman Industries in the current state of affairs; I'm posting here to give HIM one more chance to make this right.

I've emailed you in the last two weeks without a response. Make it right Jason....

Don't mean to take the wind out of your sails, but there's an entire thread here warning of his behavior which stretches back to 2012, and it's seemingly done very little to warn others. In fact, there's multiple threads as it's that prolific

He won't pay you back man. I'd suggest just going ahead reporting it to your bank right now. My bank paid me back right after I made the claim and resolved it with him within a couple months. Had this happen to me early last year. He might have some stuff going on in his personal life or whatever it is, don't waste much of your time with it. I'd highly suggest filing the claim and let your bank spend the time managing this so you don't have to. They'll get the money from him.

Definitely looks better than stock - nice! Does it create a windscreen too?

Just ordered one of these and very excited to install it next week! I think it’s really going to freshen up the look.
