Because if the site is down, we can't get all the 3rd gen knowledge that we've come to love. And yes Bill, I have noticed that it sporadically goes down. Today seemed worse than other days though. I know it's a bit "off topic", but I have no problem with you asking this question here.

I've noticed it way more lately. Maybe the ads maybe not but it's hard to complain when this site is totally free and IMHO is far more user friendly then the "other" site... cough cough yoda cough..

I've noticed this too. Does seem to be bad lately. Also agree with the don't complain because it's free part. Just curious though, has the idea of member support ever been brought up on the forum? One of the motorcycle forums I'm on is free but members due donate to keep it running strong. I doubt too many member here would complain much about donating a few bucks to T4R.org to keep it running right/upgrade it. I know I wouldn't, this forum is a valuable resource to me.

or just could be they're doing work to the site (maybe to improve) and all you guys are over analyzing it .... Not everyone is up at 3am, when you're fast asleep dreaming about your 4Runner, to take the site offline and work on it.
You will live if it goes offline for a couple hours. Take a swig and watch some pr0n or something

I too, have noticed the slow and sometimes dead space on this site. I also love the idea of being a contributing member like I am on other boards. PitbullRescuer, I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. Yes, I agree on the invaluable info. there is. Well Put Site!!!
