Should I avoid a rig, if had strawberry trans, and trans was replaced??

A friend is looking at a 2000 Limited and it had it's transmission replaced shortly after 100,000 miles. Should that rig be avoided?

not a bad idea to.. i would guess if he drove too long after they mixed you would be running tranny fluid through your engine.

Tranny fluid running through the coolant passages won't hurt anything. It's the coolant running through the tranny that's an issue. If the trans was indeed replaced it's fine. That's no reason to avoid it.

If and only if the radiator was replaced and the engine coolant was flushed.
