Tundra Coils as another thread...go figure

Ok well this should be my last thread about the tundra coils. I just put the order in for mine from a 01 TRD access cab, y/y y/b. I'm posting this thread to provide a site to check for the coils. Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market You can search all of the US and get some good prices on the coils or any other part. I'm getting mine from Wyoming and they estimated the price to $110 shipped. Not too shabby and that includes the y/b bilsteins. I hope this helps some people out who are looking for the coils.

I've been reading about lift kits for a while now, and I think this is the route I'm gonna go.

I have a 2000 4X4 with 203k miles. I will never go off road with it.
I just picked up a set of stock FJ Cruiser wheels and tires. (265/70/17)

I'd LIKE about 2 1/2 inches of lift to go with them for looks, but would like to maintain a good ride.

I'd LIKE to replace shocks and springs, (due to high miles), anyway.

If I could get the front end done with the TRD coils/bilsteins for around $110.00, that would be amazing! (I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible)

I tried to search with the site you provided but I'm not sure I'm doing it right.

Year - (what years will work?)
Toyota Tundra
Coil/Air spring?
USA
Sort by price
Zip code
Search
Then there are options for which tundra you want -
Do I want the bottom 2 options? Front, 4x4, 4dr, bilstein opt?

Thanks for any help anyone may have.

Thanks guys.

Are the TRD springs standard issue or was that an upgrade on the Tundra?

I did a search for 2000 Toyota Tundra 4x4 Double cab

The results it produced had no part numbers and nothing said TRD.

So, I sent an email to one of the shops asking for this:

Looking for a pair of coils/shocks assembled from a 2000 Toyota Tundra 4x4 Double cab. TRD springs with Bilstein shocks. The Springs are colored yellow/yellow, and yellow/blue. Part # 48131-AF100, AND 48131-AF090. Bilsteins and yellow/blue

Am I on the right track?

lol Thanks guys

Thats the site I used to find several pairs as well before I bought those 2wd drive coils from that lady, haha. I found several good sets from different salvage yards. But they all wanted too much for them.

2000 is the first year. If you do a search for 2002 some yards will only give you 2002 and up since they are usually searching for insurance companies. The standard for an "insurance" quality part is the same year or newer with the same or fewer miles.

So basically you are looking for a 2000-2006 Tundra Double Cab 4wd with Bilstein option. That is how my local yard searched for and found the ones that I used to lift my truck. I ended up with the YY/YB coils that everyone uses here. No on road reports yet, as I still need to install my other top plate spacer, extended rear sway bar links, and do an alignment.

I thought it was the access cab model, not the DC. Does it matter? I suppose not, as long as the spring color codes are yy/yb.

I agree, thought it had to be an access cab to be the y/y y/b option. I got mine from an 02 access cab, with the bilsteins.
