Your truck looks fantastic. The wheels are the perfect compliment to your color scheme.

Spring 2012... Finally got some tires. Dck Cepek FC-IIs. I got them with 95% tread... just a few miles at about half the cost. The guy decided on 35s for his superduty.
I had picked up a set of 5 FJ TRD rims about a year before, and had them in my closet

I drove to portland to buy the rims off an older lady who's a biologist. Her TRD FJ Cruiser was black on black with 17's and and ARB front bumper. She lived by herself. She was awesome. ...and super nice.

Nice build. Where in WA are you located? I Saw a rig a lot like yours headed up the west side of Stevens Pass yesterday

Do you have to run wheel spacers with those rims? I have the same ones and soon I'll be getting 285s just need to know if I need wheel spacers or not.

I run no spacers. I also run 285/75s. DC knobby ATs. I have very slight rubbing on the upper control arms, but not enough worth mentioning really. just enough to take off a little paint. All tires will be a little different of course.

I will say these TRDs are ALOT heavier than the stock 16" 5 stars. I really notice it when they drop into a hole. Overall very happy with my wheel/tire/suspension fit.

TRD Decal

There's some updates that I haven't had much time to post...

As you can see from my previous pics, I have added the TRD decal.
I ordered my decal from http://www.crawlorado.com

For fitting, I started on the gas tank side for placement, then did the passenger to match. I didn't use a level, just a tape measure to make sure it was straight on all sides.
Again, I don't have the working photos that were on my old iPhone. I used blue tape, an exacto knife to cut it out and leave my guides, then set it back in the guides after the back was removed.
I no longer have the measurements, but I measured from the bottom (between the bumper and qtr panel) and the rear (between the tail light).

I didn't realize this at the time, but this has really given the truck a new life. I get tons of more compliments on the truck than I used to, and secretly know its bc the decal gives the 3rd gen an updated look.

I have recently updated my corner lamps. I got a pair of DEPO clear corner lenses from neondials on eBay.
I have also had the ones from burtman, and will say that these are just as good for my liking.
I taped off the reflector area for a custom tinted look...

GetOut's Build Thread-lens-prep-jpg

Then I added amber LEDs and took a picture with my truck covered in mud... haha

Really nice truck man. Hopefully a few of us can get together over the summer and do a little wheeling.

Late 3rd Gen Tails New-in-Box for $75? Yes, please.

If you haven't changed your tails before, you'll find the harness and the 10mm ground behind your interior panel. Take off the bottom plastic strip at the front of the cargo area. Pop the panels, remove the ground, unsnap the harness. To remove the tail light, remove the two screws, and pop the light toward the outwards side of the truck. Pull the wire, rubber boot, and harness.

The new one goes on in opposite order. Make sure you get the rubber boot on correctly of course. Cake walk!
