Zombie post!
Got my hourglasses on amazon, 4$
Energy Suspension 9.8108G 3/4" Hourglass Shock Eye Bushing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CN9D4E..._ANruBbN0DNZ5Z
Then I used the pitman puller I rented and a washer (didn't have a fender washer handy, had to use 2) to push the new bushing back in. It was real easy to push the new one through.

@tbst, thanks for posting the Pitman puller and bolt/washer ideas. Perfect solutions, and as cost effective as it gets. These are 4600s I recently picked up for my 4th Gen.

Can anyone verify the dimensions (ID, tube length, old sleeve length, bolt size) of the bilstein shock eye? I'd like to see if a better fit straight eye bushing exists.
I see folks using the 9.8108 which is a 1.125 OD hourglass... it's really not recommended that someone use hourglass bushings in straight eyes. The bushings werent made for that, they are meant for hourglass shaped eyes.
Take, for example, most OE replacement rear shocks, the lower eye... those are almost always hourglass shaped. For those, 9.8143 is a perfect fit for OE Toyota shocks and most OE style replacement brands.

Hello, I am new here and playing catch-up. Was there a better option for the Tundra 5100 that the daystar bushing? Was the ES bushing determined to be incorrect? Thanks!

Well, due to a lack of responses, I said screw it and purchased a set of Bilstein 5100 (part # 24-100144) and here's what I've determined:
Shock eye diameter is 1.0625
ID needed is .750 to fit 4R
Bingo bango, Energy Suspension part # 9.8140 fits the bill. Fits standard straight eye (as the Bilstein has), .750" ID, 1.5625 overall length.
Fits like a glove and it will actually last since it's a straight eye bushing and NOT and hourglass!

Is the busing above also recommended when replacing 4th gen tr4 rears with lets say 2019 taco bilstein rears? or these are for 5100 only

It can't be determined without verification that the eyes use the same dimensions. Bilstein makes a lot of different shock eye sizes.
If you have a digital caliper, try to get an outside diameter measurement of the metal shell that surrounds the original rubber bushing... we can go from there.
Thanks

That OD is PERFECT for the bushing, almost dead on 1-1/16".
The one other thing you'd wanna check is the tube width of the shock eye itself, instead of the OD. The bushing I have listed fits about a 1" wide shock eye.
Bilstein probably used the same shock eyes on these model shocks as the Tundra 5100.
