Braking Problems!
So ever since i bought my 4runner I noticed my breaking is not the greatest, i could step on the brake pedal as hard as i could and the truck with not lock the tires, it would just slowly come to a stop. I thought this was normal and since my previous car was a 67 mustang with all 4 drum brakes it was a big improvement any ways.
During my last trip to Baja Mexico, my rotors got warped. So i decided to do a Tundra brake swap, to prevent the warping from happening and also to finally get better braking power.
Finally yesterday i swapped the brakes, bleed them and went out for a test drive.
The good news is that the terrible vibration every time I come to a stop is not there any more.
The bad news is that the braking still sucks! as a matter of fact i cannot tell the difference from the smaller 4runner brakes. It dosent matter how hard I try i cannot make the tires lock or even get the ABS activated.
Yesterday i had the chance to drive someones 4runner similar year to mine (1999) and even with the factory brakes it was like 100% better.
So my question is, is there any way to adjust the sensibility of the brakes? or is something else broken and i need to replace?
Brake fluid level is to the Max Line, new calippers, pads and rotors and system bleed.
Thanks for the help!
