weird squeak from rear of vehicle

Hello all,
I'm hoping to get your input on a weird problem my wife is experiencing with her '00 SR5. Her vehicle has about 65K miles on it, and as of a couple of months ago, it started squeaking every time she steps on the brakes. The noise in question is not a brake squeal; it sounds like a rubber bushing type of squeak. It is definitely coming from the rear of the vehicle, as I can hear it clearly by placing my ears around the rear wheel wells. The noise is the same loudness whether I listen to it from the left or right side of the vehicle. At first I thought it may be break dust buildup in the rear drums, but I don't think that's the case, as it sounds more like a rubber squeak than a grinding noise. The noise happens when the truck's mass is shifted forward under breaking, and it last only a second or so right before coming to a complete stop. I can reproduce the noise every time by simply rolling very slowly (walking speed, if that) forward and stopping. Any ideas? Thanks very much in advance for your assistance on this.

weird squeak

I'm new to the forum but I have a suggestion for the cause of your squeak. My '99 was squeaking after I dropped the spare out to fix a flat. When I put the spare back up it was a bit loose and squeaked evertime I would stop and accelerate. Just tightened it up and all is well.
