When I joined in 2006, I had owned my 4Runner for seven years and been on YT for a while. So my first post on Nov. 11 2006 was about the ONLY thing that had gone wrong with my truck to that point:

It's the clock. Search this and other forums and you will find many with the same problem. Part is $300 from dealer and used ones go around $70 on e-bay. Good news is this is the ONLY thing that EVER broke on my '99 SR5 (not counting abuse). I just use the clock on my Alpine H/U. I verified that the switched power lead on my car is fine. I took the silly clock as far apart as humanly possible and I can't trace the fault. I suggest you give up and enjoy the rest of the car.
