limited flares with door cladding, are they hollow from behind? shave em off **PIC***

I am looking to shaving the part where the door cladding starts on the rear door fenders and fronts but I would like to know if they are hollow from behind menaing if I cut along the edge if I would need to fiberglass a new small pieces to full it OR if they are not hollow at that part and I can just cut that part off and smooth them out to follow the rest of the lines?

You are going to have holes in the doors on the part that you shave off. You are planning on removing the pieces before you cut them right?

My truck does not have these flares at all, and a local guy is selling me a set but he is missing the door ones and I like the look of the better without the cladding.

Gottcha. You should really look for these style flares and not the limited style like you posted in the first post. These sit flush with the door. Plus you won't have the hassle of trying to cut and make your own out of the limited ones.
