WTB: Rocker moldings (4Runner Limited)

Looking to change up my SR5 with Limited rocker moldings. Anybody parting out their 4Runner?

Google fender flares and see if thats what you are referring to ?

If so you are looking at either 1k+ from the dealer

OR

300-500 used for all 10 pieces, or 12 with the ones that have the cladding on the doors, not to mention they attach with push pins into holes drilled into the body of the truck, as far as I know, there are NO templates you can just buy to know where to drill so you would have to trace them from the flares onto something else then onto the body, drill all the holes into your truck and hope and pray that you drilled all of them perfectly in place.

Or

you can buy bushwacker flares which are almost identical except they are about 1/4 inch small but still pretty big, those just attack with double sided tape and are about 450 new for all pieces, by far your best option.

Bushwackers came with instructions as well as various mounting hardware, bolts, straps and rivets. The installation was pretty easy if you take your time, measure, align and then drill. I did not use any double side tape.

SR5 Sport Flares are just as easy to install. If your SR5 came with the black/chrome fender trim, then for the most part your bolt holes are already there.

Biggest challenge will be the Limited Flares with Cladding. You will want to research folks who have done it for install tips. Not totally impossible, however, take your time, measure, align then drill once or you will need body work to repair your mistakes.

I've installed the both the SR5 Sport and Bushwacker flares if you need any tips PM me. Your biggest problem is finding the OEM SR5 Sport or Limited flares for sale, if you go with the Bushwackers, I found the best price on Amazon.

Hope this helps..........Regards 8sm

Thanks for the advice. When my ride was new, someone decided to install stainless steel rocker plating. After removing a panel, the 3M tape removed a chip of paint. Besides, I am not a fan of shiney stainless steel or chrome.

I was thinking to just rhino line the panel area.
