2000 SR5 4x4 Enkei center caps

Just bought a 2000 SR5 4x4 that has -- what I think are -- "factory" Enkei 15" alloys. The pattern looks a lot like the 16" wheel with 3 "double spokes" (sorry digital camera isn't working). I'm missing all 4 center caps, so I have nothing to match. The back of the wheel is marked:
Enkei 35990 MP BRIT 2F 15x7J 15 Made in USA.

The wheel center has a about a 4" diameter (exact size as the hubs) with a slight indented flange all the way around it. None of the factory Toyota centers look right -- the lugs aren't part of the wheel cap center. Anyone know what the right part number is ... better yet know a source to find them? Thanks!

Enki wheels are not factory wheels, they are put on at the port by the distributor. Then they charge $650 and the dealers don't make much of the money, cost for them is around $585. Factory alloy wheels are around $220 and that is list. So if the factory centers don't look right, it is because they are not factory wheels.

You might try the distributor, probably the Southern distributor, or try Enkei directly. I have a 2001 and it came with 15" Enkei wheels. I took a picture of them and if the wheel looks likes yours, you now at least know what the center looks like.

Thanks. That's the wheel I have! Now, the search continues for a supplier.

My 4Runner was originally a Florida vehicle ... now in Texas, so I'll need to contact a Sunshine state dealer/importer.

Thanks for that information. I bought my 2000 SR5 4x4 in Raleigh, NC and have lost one wheel center cap. I have looked high and low but cannot locate one.

It looks like I found a source of these center caps: $17 each, paid up front (plus tax, plus freight). These are Enkei wheels, with an Enkei part number: don't know why an Enkei wheel supplier can't order these locally. If my source comes through I'll post ordering details.

As seems par for the course, there was a twist. Enkei more or less said that this was between me & Toyota to find a replacement. Toyota, of course, says it's not one of their wheels either! I've got a very good family friend with a auto wholesaler license following it up for me. If it's another dead-end, I'm going to punt and buy some take-off 16's. Keep the faith.

That's a real bummer. If you have the part number would you please share it? Thanks.

If I get a chance in my busy schedule, I call the local Toyota dealer who sold my rig and see if they sell the suckers.

OK, here's the part number: 00041-35990-01
Bunch of caveats regarding the aforementioned part number: it neither appears in Toyota parts catalog, nor is it listed in the Enkei catalog. I can only find this part from its orginal Southeast Toyota Distributors' "Parts & Accessory Information" listing.

I had a large Tennessee Toyota dealer tell me they won't deal with SETD on these distributor installed parts (costs and availability). Texas Toyota dealers (where I live now) receive vehicles through Gulf States Distributors and won't contact SETD. Cutomers (like us) are left out in the cold when we can't get common spare parts for what what was sold as an original part.

Please post if you get a positive response; I'll do likewise.

Lightbulb Found Enkei Center caps

weidspeed

I believe I have found the Enkei wheel center caps we are looking for at Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh, NC. I have ordered one and should have it by the end of the week. If it is indeed the correct one I will let you know. The price with shipping is about $26.

Found the Enkei wheel center caps!

weidspeed

I have received the Enkei wheel center cap and it is the one we need! Just goes to show that determining the simplest way to solve a problem is the best. DUH! Why not call the dealer where I bought the truck? LOL

Anyway the full part nomenclature is: 00041-35990-02 TAC BTRT CAP 4X4

The cap was $17.17, and several are in stock at Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh, NC

I ended up ordering a set from a Ft. Lauderdale, FL dealer. Problem was these wheels were an importer/distributor option. My truck was originally delivered in Tampa, FL ... Texas dealers never sold these wheels, so they had no paperwork on how to re-order.

Wheels look great, but after all this, I think I may sell them and try to find some take-off 16's.
