Doors continually auto unlock themselves

My 2002 4Runner continually unlocks itself - both with keys in & keys out of the ignition. I can lock it.. but within seconds, or sometimes minutes, the vehicle will auto-unlock itself. It's not the key fob remote.

I searched for similar posts, but could not find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance!

Mine use to unlock itself too. But that was caused by a bad water leak getting into the wiring harness under the dash. My windshield was the issue. I could push it out half an inch or so on the drivers side. Got it replaced, leak stopped, truck stopped acting possessed. Just a thought.

Well my 96 kind of does this but its some feature that comes with the factory installed alarm.

If I manually lock my doors with the door lock and dont start the car it will sometimes auto unlock. If I lock the doors with the FOB it never auto unlocks.

If I unlock the doors and open them up without starting and then shut them they will also auto lock. So I think its some feature from the manufacturer.

But I never have them auto unlock when Im driving and key is in the ignition so it sounds like you may have an electrical issue maybe.
