Help removing rear Toyota logo emblem

I want to black out all the chrome emblems on my '99. Does anyone have tips for removing the Toyota logo badge (the one under the rear wiper). I know there are two pins holding it so I suspect it's easy to break in the process.

When I took them all off to paint them, I used fishing line to go underneath. I didnt know the pins were there on the toyota logo. But I think the fishing line helped get it loose-ish. You can try to pull it out with that, I believe I carefully used a flat head inside a shop towel and helped pry it out.

Hope this helps!

Paint it w/o pulling it

loosen it up so you can get some tape under the edges, mask off the rest of the tail gate and have at it.

I used an xacto knife blade and slid it around the perimeter of the logo. The glue should let go and you can scrape the remainder of the glue with the blade.

Hopefully In the Future: ACME Adapters VW Diesel Engine to Toyota R150F Transmission Adapter Plate so I can do a VW Diesel engine swap.
