Hot Damn!
Typical windy day here in PNW! When the wind comes up the trees come down!
Those hemlocks show no mercy!
Glad to see everyone is alright but the runner. She is in a better place now.
Years ago I worked on a logging crew and we were doing a show up on the North Umpqua. The wind came up and we decided to called it a day. We loaded up in the Crummy and headed down the mountain. Before we reached the main road the wind was blowing at least 50+ mph. As we drove you could look through the trees on both sides of the road and see the trees fall. I mean some big old Douglas Firs were falling. I think that was most scared I have ever been in my life...Good times.
When I was checking these pictures all I could think was "Now were S*h*i*ting in Tall Timber!"

Also, there isn't any reason the 4Runner would NOT have started. You can cut the roof off, take all 4 doors off, remove the hatch, bumpers, boards, etc etc etc and it would still run and drive. Nothing runability related is in the back cargo area of those vehicles.

The gas tank is under.

I nominate theizzardking for July T4ROTM. Not many build threads can say they have the "log mod".

Wow, this one most certainly goes down in the books.
Crazy 'adventure' in deed but very fortunate and glad everyone is ok!
Good luck with the next one, looking forward to seeing a build

hey guys !
thanks for all of the support and the laughs and don't worry you're showing more respect then my buddies, we were joking about it about about 20 mins after it happened, took a few mins for the shock to wear off, lol , but sincerely thank you for your thoughts and well wishes, it's welcomed, god know this is the only place i may get some sympathy! hahaha
here's the deal on parts, i have full coverage and they are covering everything down to the tires and the roof rack and allowing e to pull off the bumper and whatever else (aftermarket) that isn't required for the truck to be able to roll around the lot ,....so don't expect the cool stuff, imo, that's not damaged, like the bunpers, taco whip ect ect ect.....
with that said though if i get enough interest i'll still buy the truck back and start shipping parts as per request or may actually just sell the whole thing on to a fellow t4r member if they promise to try and do something with it or at least get a few parts out to the t4r crew, that's yet to be determined though....i'll post up what the buy back cost is and we can sort it out here as a group, i'm not looking to make any money off this but i want to break even, fair enough?
hold your breath for the next post, life is crazy sometimes.....

I already picked it up. Figured a man down on his luck doesn't need a lawn mower.
I'll sell you two wheels and 26" deck for $15 shipped
