3" BL and winch bumper aggravations
Ok so I have a 3" bl and i want to get a winch bumper. but practically every site ive looked at they dont have the option for a 3"....only a 1" or 2".
Friend of mine said they can try to modify it for mine but it wont ever look right. And before anyone says it... my sliders are welded on, so im sorta stuck with the bl. So my question is, who out there has a 3" bl and what bumper are you running? does it look right? even lines? what did you/company have to do to get it to fight correctly?
I'm about to pull my hair out with this BS!

Have you talked to the different product suppliers? I'm sure they would work with you for a price.

Get a custom build at a local shop. Could be the same price or less depending on who you go to.

Not an option given her sliders are already welded in place with the 3" BL.
Tiff, look into having someone make you a bumper. It should be cheaper anyway. I'm sure you can persuade some poor bas**** into doing it for you for next to nothing.

Can you post a pic of your sliders against the body? I agree with the others. Give some people a call. I bet they'll work with you.

Observe this with your eyeballs
Addicted Winch Bumper (1996-2002 4runner) [Addicted 3rd Gen] - $475.00 : Addicted Offroad is a full service Parts, Sales, and Fabrication company offering offroad parts for all makes and models, Addicted Offroad
Also, You don't HAVE to get a bumper that built exactly for a 3 inch BL. For example, I have 2 inch body lift but my bumper is made for a 1 inch. I have a little gap but i actually prefer it that way because it gives the bumper room to move since the frame and body will flex differently.

It seems to me like you have a couple options depending on how much you want to pay...
1) Call the various bumper suppliers and see if they can work with you. Just because its not listed on the website doesn't necessarily mean they can't customize one for you.
2) Buy a bumper that fits a 2" BL and have a shop try to modify it to fit, or weld a 1" lip around it to cover the 1" space created by the extra body lift.
3) Cut off the sliders, step down to a 2" BL, reinstall the sliders, and get a bumper that is compatible with a 2" BL.
4) Have a shop fab up a custom bumper

Bryan welded them on pretty snug fit to the body.

What kind of bumper are you thinking? Tube or plate? Any particular style?
